As I write, there are very few days left until the end of a long (extra day) month, which has been full of umbrellas, wet floors, damp raincoats and hats, and puddles.
Bring on spring, please!
Nevertheless, there was the most beautiful full moon (for those who were lucky enough to have clear skies above them), and when the sun did come out, it was glorious, lifting our spirits and brightening our moods.
I have certainly felt the same looking at the deliveries as they arrive through our door each morning. This week we saw the first white asparagus from Italy, purple artichokes, bulbs of puntarelle, and baby spinach leaves, and then, surprise of all surprises, 2 punnets of gariguette strawberries were delivered from France, surely at least 2–3 weeks early!? They smelt and tasted incredible and I can guarantee that there will be more gracing our menus and tables over the next few weeks.

Mothering Sunday ~
