Tier 3 restrictions and Clarke’s Home Delivery
December 15, 2020
We knew it was probably coming, but we did not expect it to arrive like this; without warning, unexpected and giving us all (in the hospitality industry) very little time to adjust. Here we go again!
From midnight on Tuesday 15th December, ten days before Christmas Day, the restaurant will be forced to shut its doors again, possibly until the new year. I am doubly sad about this, as on Thursday 17th I had been looking forward to celebrating the Restaurant’s anniversary, as we have every year since 1984. Admittedly this time would have been a low-key Covid-friendly affair.
BUT ALL IS NOT LOST – WE HAVE HOME DELIVERY!
Thanks to our brilliant teams in the Kitchen and Dining Room, we will continue to offer our online menu every day up to December 24th, and then again on the 30th & 31st.
Alongside our current offering (including a fabulous three-course roasted bronze-legged turkey menu for two) we will be working hard over the coming days to offer a whole new range of dishes. These include our beetroot and dill-cured salmon, a Sardinian octopus salad and the Restaurant’s famous (and delicious) foie gras, to accompany the fabulous new main courses, desserts and home-made ice creams.
We’ve done it once, twice and we’ll do it again!
We wish you a joyful, happy and delicious Christmas! We can’t wait to celebrate the end of lockdown with you all in the New Year.
Stay safe,
Sally and the Clarke’s team
