The end of Thanksgiving….. and the beginning of December festivities
November 30, 2020
Although Thanksgiving is now behind us it seems like an appropriate time to say
how thankful we are to all of you who visited our shops or placed online orders.
It was fantastic to see so many of our bronze-legged turkeys, baked pumpkin
and pecan tarts and gingerbread cookies making their way into happy homes.
For the first time ever we were unable to provide a Thanksgiving menu in the Restaurant, however, we were thrilled to hear the wonderful feedback of our
3 course Home Delivery Thanksgiving menu – in fact, the feedback was so
wonderful that we have decided to keep it running throughout December (with some festive tweaks)!! To order visit our Clarke’s Restaurant page on sallyclarke.com/shop
(Order before 12 for the following day Tuesday – Saturday.)
Many of you have already secured your Sally Clarke’s Christmas orders,
however I need to gently remind you that the last day to receive a confirmed
order for the 21st December is the 14th, that’s only two weeks away!
Please note that after the 17th December www.sallyclarke.com/shop will be unable
to receive any more online orders until the New Year. And, thinking about New Year… the Shops will be open from the 28th to the 31st December!!
Clarke’s Restaurant
We made it! We will be reopening our doors on Wednesday 2nd December –
both for Lunch and Dinner. Although we have been working tireless behind
the scenes during lockdown, nothing is the same as having a Restaurant full
of you all, our (socially distanced) lovely customers.
The latest government’s guidelines will allow us to take reservations of numbers
up to a maximum of 6, with guests from the same household. These restrictions
will be reviewed in 2 weeks’ time, so let us all keep our fingers crossed and hope
for as normal December as possible…!
Please note that although we will continue to provide our Home Delivery service
throughout December, we will however, be delivering slightly earlier (10:30am – 1:30pm), so our lunch service in the Restaurant remains unaffected.
Although this year has been different in more ways than any of us can remember,
we will not forget our 36th Birthday celebrations on 17th December.
And, for the first time since opening in 1984, we will not only be open for Lunch and Dinner between Christmas and New Year, but also on New Year’s Eve!! (Even if we will be celebrating at 9pm instead of midnight, the Champagne will be flowing!!)
Most importantly, please be reminded that our strict Covid-aware protocols
will continue in order to keep both you and our staff safe. On arrival you will
be asked to kindly sanitise your hands, and we will also discreetly take your temperature. We ask that you wear a mask until you are seated, (our Dining
Room staff will always be wearing masks). All staff, both front and back of house,
will also be temperature-checked each day, and rigorous deep cleaning procedures
of the premises will be carried out before, during and after each service.
We are so very much looking forward to seeing you all once again.
In the meanwhile, please remember that our Shops in Kensington Church Street and Westbourne Grove are open every day, and that seating is, once again available outside.
(Please bring hats, gloves and coats..!)
With our best wishes,
Sally and the team
