Where is everything made?
The shop is just across the road from our restaurant kitchen, where most of our take-home dishes for retail (including the now famous chicken, mushroom, and leek pie) are made.
Our professional chefs work extra hard and long around busy restaurant service times to create a range of take-home dishes for our retail customers. Meals to reheat and serve at home for lunch or dinner, often simple versions of the seasonal fare that is offered for lunch or dinner in the restaurant. All using fresh ingredients, prepared and cooked in the traditional way.
Our bakery produces a full range of breads and pastries together with a seasonally changing range of cakes, sweet and savoury tarts, muffins, and cookies.
When is this available?
Our bakery team typically gets to work the same day as your order arrives although, depending on the item, it may take a day or two to produce. We try to offer next-day service (if you can get your order in before 12 noon the day before) on most items unless the products themselves require more time and attention (our 48 sourdough breads for example, and other cooked items). At the moment, we are unable to take orders for our chicken pies, as the restaurant chefs literally need to fit creation of these around busy restaurant service. We are enjoying the ceremony and surprise when they do arrive, however, as do our customers. After 40 years, they are still the best!
Do you do delivery and collection?
Yes! We offer collection from our shop at 1 Campden Street, and arrange central London deliveries through our affiliation with local courier companies.
Where can I get my order delivered?
Our courier service delivers to various locations around central London. We are also very happy to pack up and have ready any items for your own courier to collect, particularly if you are outside London.

When can I get my order delivered?
We can arrange delivery every day of the week. If you order from our online shop, you can choose up to 20 days in advance with three different time windows:
8:00 – 9:30, 12:00 – 13:30 and 16:00 – 17:30.

What should I do with my packaging?
The box you receive is made of craft cardboard, so it is easily recycled, and we have also moved to plant-based biodegradable cellophane for all other containers.
