Olive Oils & Vinegars

The following selection of our olive oils are all 'first pressing' extra virgin oils. We recommend that they are all best used 'raw'. A good quality olive oil will enhance many dishes, so use liberally and choose your oil to compliment the seasonal foods available. Please feel free to ask our staff for any help when choosing. Store in a dry, cool & dark cupboard.


Olive Oils

Colonna, Molise Southern Italy
Delicious extra virgin olive oil. Bright, clear green with a hint of gold. Light with a warm peppery finish. Used by our Restaurant on finished dishes, especially on salads and vegetables.

Colonna Granverde
From the same oil makers. Untreated lemons are pressed with the olives to make Granverde. Great with grilled fish, vegetables or mixed with balsamic vinegar.

Ravida, Sicily Italy
A rich golden oil with a hint of green. Aroma of tomato & freshly mown grass. Use over streamed vegetables, salads & especially tomatoes with mozzarella.

Le Fasce, Liguria Italy
Golden oil, with a slight tinge of green. Marzipan, nutty flavour with a light peppery after taste, delicious with tomatoes, salads & especially over potatoes.

Marchesi di Pietraforte, Umbria Italy
Wonderful grassy taste with a slight peppery finish.

Infused Marchesi di Pietraforte, Umbria Italy
Extra virgin olive oils laced with essence of pure herbs. Basil, Garlic, Mediterranean herb, Garlic with hot pepper & subtle porcini.

Del Sero, Umbria Italy
Deliciously light single estate unfiltered olive oil, full of fruit, use as a dressing particularly with fish.

Baumayrane, Provence France
An organic extra virgin olive oil. A light elegant oil. Pale green in colour. Intensely fruity in taste. Lovely drizzled over Jersey new potatoes & grilled fish.

Novello di Macina
A smooth, fruity oil with intense aromas of freshly cut grass and apples. Robust & with a long peppery finish, this is a classic Italian olive oil.

Tenuta di Valgiano, Tuscany Italy
A heady scent of freshly cut grass and palate of bitter leaves & pepper. Use liberally in many Meditteranean dishes and as a dressing for salads.

River Cafe Selvapiana
Very deep green Tuscan oil. Strong peppery , spicy character. Not for the faint hearted. A good oil for bruschetta.

River Cafe Felsina
Lighter than the Selvapiana, with an intense olive flavour. This oil particularly compliments fish both in the cooking and the dressing.

Alziari, Nice France
A pale golden colour, with a buttery sweet delicate aroma, with a mild herb finish. Delicious drizzled over soups, vegetables & salads.

Nunez de Prado, Baena Andalucia
An intensely flavoured organic oil with a passion fruit aroma balanced by a fine peppery finish. Great drizzled over steamed vegetables, grilled fish & most light Mediterranean dishes.

Basilica, Umbria Italy
Unfiltered. A good value oil to be used liberally. Fruity with a hint of artichoke with good peppery finish. Use with a huge variety of foods, especially Mediterranean dishes.

Seggiano, Tuscany Italy
Rich golden green in colour. Lighter than many Tuscan oils, but still retains a delicate peppery taste Delicious served over mozzarella & tomatoes or as a drizzled over steamed vegetables.

White Truffle Oil
Use sparingly to enhance mushroom risotto, pasta, mashed potatoes, carpaccio or fine shavings of Parmesan Reggiano.

Huileries Lapilise Nut Oils, Lyon France Almond, Hazelnut & Walnut
Warm, rich buttery oils made with the finesr 100% natural oil from the nut. Use 'raw' or gently warmed over salads and potatoes or grilled fish.

Vinegar

15 yr Balsamic
Rich, syrupy balsamic from Modena. Use sparingly over Parmesan Reggiano, strawberries or to enrich meat juices.

Guiseppe Guisti Balsamic
Used by clarke's restaurant in dressings, sauces & salsa verde.

White Wine Vinegar, France
Good quality white wine vinegar perfect for mayonnaise & Bernaise sauce.

Manicardi Red Wine Vinegar, Modena Italy
Light plum colour vinegar very good used in mustard dressings.

Sherry Vinegar, Spain
Matured sherry vinegar with a rich sweet taste, very good for pickling, especially cabbage & beetroot.

Herb & fruit Vinegars, Womersley Hall, Nr Doncaster
Our selection includes Golden Raspberry, Mulberry, Blackberry, Spiced Basil & Dark Opal Basil.
